β Kicked off the Venture Forward programme yesterday in Birmingham with Foundervine and it was phenomenal, representing Designer Kids Club.
Hearing directly from founders whoβve actually raised, scaled and negotiated on their terms was powerful. I wonβt share all the golden nuggets, but here are a few that landed:
1οΈβ£ Investors need to be the right fit.
Just like they do due diligence on us, we need to do the same. Youβre essentially in a 7+ year partnership, trust and alignment are non-negotiable.
2οΈβ£ A big team doesnβt mean big value.
As you grow, sometimes you have to strip back to the core. A lean, high-value team will outperform busy headcount any day.
3οΈβ£ You can set the investment terms.
Minimum equity, zero voting rights, confidentiality protected, investment doesnβt have to equal control. Set expectations from day one.
4οΈβ£ EU funding is still accessible for UK founders.
If youβre eligible apply. Youβve got nothing to lose.
Grateful to be in spaces where founders speak from experience, not ego.

Excited for whatβs ahead. Let the fundraising prep begin! πΌβ¨

Building a startup isnβt a 9β5 itβs a 24/7 shift you never officially clocked into π
Between DMs, app development, networking and late-night graft, Iβve been a little MIA for all the right reasons.
Last week I headed to J.P. Morgan for the Founders Forward Accelerator, and it was the reset I didnβt know I needed. Stepping out of my comfort zone isnβt easy, but being selected for this cohort reminded me why I said yes.
Being in a room full of women building powerful companies each facing different versions of the same barriers proved just how important these spaces are. When you're raising kids, raising capital and raising a brand from scratch, simply showing up is a win.
Huge gratitude to the teams at JPMorganChase and Newable. Moments like this validate what weβre building at DKC and remind me that growth happens when you show up ππ½.
Now itβs pitch prep mode excited (and slightly nervous) to bring DKC to that stage in a few weeks.

Watching this BTS back, Iβm reminded why I believe in preloved luxury so fiercely. Because these clothes werenβt made to be worn once. They were crafted to last, stitched with care, built with dignity. So why should their story end just because a child grew?
This isnβt just a shoot. Itβs living proof that quality deserves continuation. That joy can travel from one home to another. That luxury means more when itβs shared, not stored away. β»οΈπ€
And none of this happens alone. Iβm grateful to our customers whoβve become family, to the young changemakers who continue to teach me, to my advisors who strengthen me, to the individuals and organisations who believe in this vision, to my children and family for their unwavering support, to my team who go above and beyond and most of all, to God for giving me this opportunity and beautiful life.

Designer Kids Club Launches a Digital Product Passport-Powered Circular Platform for Luxury Childrenswear, Powered by Provenant
Amsterdam, Netherlands, Thursday 8th January β Designer Kids Club (DKC), a circular fashion platform specialising in luxury childrenswear, with pieces from designers such as Gucci, Burberry, and Fendi available via its website and mobile app, has launched ReLuxe Storyβ’, an industry-first platform that gives every item of clothing in its marketplace a digital profile to track care, ownership and environmental impact, turning fashion into memory and supporting resale, rental, rewear, and sustainability.
Powered by Provenantβs Digital Product Passport (DPP) technology, ReLuxe Storyβ’ records each itemβs journey from purchase to resale and beyond, providing customers with access to transparent product information and sustainability insights, including environmental footprint, certificates of authenticity, care instructions, and more. Uniquely, it delivers the first βcomplete loopβ system in the luxury childrenswear market, combining provenance, sustainability data, and resale-readiness in a single, connected record, helping extend the life and value of each item.
With luxury children's wear often being outgrown long before reaching the end of its life, it enables customers to extend the life of garments while retaining their value and quality. From today, each item on the platform will have a corresponding Digital Product Passport, accessible via a scannable QR code and through the digital wardrobe, unlocking its 'digital profile'. This provides customers with the confidence in the authenticity of their second-hand purchases, while also seeing the positive impact of their purchases through visibility of sustainability metrics. Future updates will enable customers to add their own chapter to a garment, learn who wore it before, and add their moments.
For luxury childrenswear brands, ReLuxe Storyβ’ forms part of Designer Kids Clubβs wider Circular Fashion Ecosystem offering, enabling easier access to the resale and rental market , providing a ready-made platform from which to offer take-back schemes and authenticated resale, without the need to build their own infrastructure. It also supports compliance with upcoming regulations such as the EUβs upcoming Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which mandates the use of Digital Product Passports and requires detailed data about a garmentβs lifecycle to be readily accessible. Through its exclusive pre-order service, Designer Kids Club can also apply Digital Product Passports to new products before they reach the customer, authenticating items and recording their details as soon as they arrive, enabling them to launch fully resale-ready garments from day one.
VeβRonika Pandya, Founder & CEO of Designer Kids Club said:
"Designer Kids Club was born from my son outgrowing his wardrobe faster than I could keep up. I knew luxury fashion could be both beautiful and better for the planet, and I wanted to prove that childrenβs fashion could be a driving force for sustainability. Innovation has always been at the heart of our approach, and with ReLuxe Storyβ’ weβre introducing something truly transformative with a complete loop for luxury childrenswear that supports resale, and rewear. This partnership with Provenant empowers both families and brands to join the circular fashion revolution together.β
βWith Provenantβs Digital Product Passport solution embedded in our offering, we will empower consumers to make more eco-conscious decisions, while also supporting luxury brands to join the circular fashion revolution without the need for their own infrastructure, creating one seamless loop. We firmly believe that efforts like this will begin a new era of buying, selling, renting and giveback behaviour that will enhance transparency, trust and engagement, and make circular fashion mainstream.β
Lars Rensing, CEO of Provenant added:
"In the last few years, Digital Product Passports have gained traction across industries, in part due to mandates imposed by EU legislation. While some businesses are considering them purely as a compliance tool, others like Designer Kids Club have understood their potential to power innovation, build entirely new customer experiences, and drive real sustainability impact while fuelling business growth.
With ReLuxe Storyβ’, powered by Provenantβs Digital Product Passport technology, Designer Kids Club are not only spearheading a new era in luxury childrenswear resale, but creating a foundation for continual innovation that enables brands to future-proof. Weβre excited to see all that they will achieve and are proud to be a key part of the journey.β
